Through her work at the ANA, Dana is dedicated to creating a career path for personalized nutrition professionals as part of a collaborative healthcare system. She is a founding member of the ANA and an ANA Board Director and serves on the New York State Board for Dietetics and Nutrition. Dana holds an MS degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and has received advanced training from NYU’s graduate school of social work and from the Institute of Functional Medicine. She is a Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) and a licensed nutritionist in NY and Massachusetts. Before entering private practice, she worked for 3 integrative medical centers, including Canyon Ranch and Atkins Center. She also served as founding Director of Nutrition for Vitamins.com, where she developed a major web presence and multi-location public outreach service. Prior to shifting her career to nutrition, Dana had a successful career as a business executive. In addition to her roles at the ANA, Dana maintains a small practice as a personalized nutritionist in New York City, committed to integrating science-based nutrition therapy into mainstream medical care as a primary approach to both prevention and treatment.
