Summary
Mississippi licenses only dietitians under an exclusive scope of practice model. An individual must complete requirements aligned with the Registered Dietitian pathway in order to qualify for licensure. Only a licensed dietitian can provide any form of nutrition care. This law does not licensed health care providers with a scope of practice in nutrition. Only licensed individuals may use the titles "dietitian," "nutritionist," "LD," "LN," "or any other facsimile thereof".
