Dr. Stacie J. Stephenson, DC, CNS, DABAAHP, FAARM, is a recognized functional medicine physician and lecturer focused on integrative, regenerative, anti-aging, and natural medicine. Dr. Stephenson was in the first group of advance practice module certified functional medicine practitioners trained by the Institute of Functional Medicine and went on to be one of the first female practitioners to offer functional medicine care to patients in the Midwest. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern Health Sciences University with a Doctor of Chiropractic, studied cognitive and behavioral assessment at Adler Graduate School of Clinical Psychology, is a Certified Nutrition Specialist with the American College of Nutrition, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners.
Dr. Stephenson spent close to fifteen years in private practice before she was named Chair of Functional Medicine for Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA). Dr. Stephenson has always championed a whole-person approach to disease prevention and healing, with an emphasis on healthy lifestyle and natural medicine to augment and improve outcomes from those conventional medicine treatments that remain necessary. ‘Dr. Stacie,’ as she is known informally by her patients, colleagues, and friends, has shared her knowledge and expertise with hospitals and health advocacy groups across the country, giving talks on subjects ranging from innovations in genomics and personalized cancer therapies to nutritional strategies that support recovery and long-term management of chronic and other diseases. Her latest business venture, Vibrant Doc, is dedicated to making integrative medicine concepts and optimal wellness accessible to all.
