Deanna Minich, MS, PhD, FACN, CNS Named to the American Nutrition Association® Board of Directors

CHICAGO (October 19, 2020) - The American Nutrition Association® (ANA) is pleased to announce that Deanna Minich, MS, PhD, FACN, CNS has been named to the ANA Board of Directors and President of the ANA’s American College of Nutrition. She succeeds Roger Newton, PhD, FAHA, FACN in those positions. The ANA offers its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Newton for his immensely valuable contributions and formative role in the vision of the ANA.

Dr. Minich is a gifted, respected nutrition scientist, educator, practitioner, and author with a long history of leadership at the ANA. She is a Fellow of the College and a Certified Nutrition Specialist® (CNS®), and she has served on the Board of the College since 2014. “Dr. Minich has a tremendous gift for translating complex personalized nutrition science to professional and lay audiences in dynamic and appealing fashion, which will be of immense benefit as the ANA grows its reach,” said ANA CEO Michael Stroka, JD, MS, CNS, LDN. “The ANA Family welcomes Dr. Minich to this vital leadership position within the organization.”

Dr. Minich will be a featured keynote speaker at the ANA’s 61st annual Personalized Nutrition Summit 2020, taking place November 12-13. Virtual this year, the Summit comprises two days of events, including the Business Leaders Forum, the Science and Practice Conference, and the Nutrition Expo. Dr. Minich will be part of the session titled: Personalized Nutrition for Immune Resilience. This session examines the critical role of the nutrition practitioner in immune resilience and highlights key considerations in personalized assessment and intervention.

Dr. Minich is also a key thought leader of the ANA’s Personalized Nutrition & Immune Resilience Resource Hub and led the Personalized Nutrition and Immune Resilience interview series which featured esteemed ANA scientists and practitioners.
