Personalized Nutrition 2022 Call for On Demand Session Speakers

Submit On Demand Session Proposal

Submission Instructions & Deadline

As part of our hybrid event, we will be featuring a library of pre-recorded on-demand CME/CE educational content that will be accessible to all registered attendees from within the virtual platform. This call for on-demand presentations offers researchers, scientists, clinicians and students the opportunity to showcase the latest research in nutrition science. Submissions should be specific to this year's mental health theme and be geared towards professionals in the field of nutrition science.

Submissions will be reviewed for scientific content, objectivity and relevance of subject matter. The decision to accept or reject a submission rests with the conference program organizers.

All abstracts must be submitted online. Faxed, emailed, or mailed abstracts are not acceptable.

The submission deadline is August 2, 2022. In fairness to all applicants, no proposals will be accepted after this date. You will be notified of the committee’s decision by August 16, 2022.

Please review the submission FAQs prior to submitting a proposal so you are fully aware of the benefits, compensation, requirements, and other aspects of oral and poster presenting. For questions contact: Education@theANA.org.

On-Demand Presentation Guidelines + FAQs

How will the on-demand sessions be accessed and viewed by the conference attendees?

All pre-recorded on-demand content will be accessible to all registered attendees from within the virtual platform. There will be no in-person presentations done by accepted on-demand session speakers. The ANA is not accepting submissions for any of the in-person sessions.

How long will the on-demand sessions be?

All pre-recorded on-demand sessions should be between 30-45 minutes in length.

Will the on-demand sessions offer CME/CE credit?

Yes, if they meet ACCME and ANA CME accreditation requirements. All on-demand session presenters will be asked to disclose all financial relationships from the past 24 months with ineligible companies (see definition below). For each financial relationship, you will be asked the name of the ineligible company and the nature of the financial relationship(s). There is no minimum financial threshold; we ask that you disclose all financial relationships, regardless of the amount, with ineligible companies. You should disclose all financial relationships regardless of the potential relevance of each relationship to the education. The ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence require that we disqualify individuals who refuse to provide this information from involvement in the planning and implementation of accredited continuing education.

An ineligible company is any entity whose primary business is producing, marketing, selling, re-selling, or distributing healthcare products used by or on patients. For specific examples of ineligible companies visit www.accme.org/standards.

All disclosed conflicts of interest will be reviewed and, if necessary, resolved to ensure this conference remains in compliance with ACCME standards for CME accreditation.

Is there an honorarium for accepted on-demand session presenters?

No.

Do I need to also register for the conference?

Yes. All accepted on-demand session presenters are eligible to receive complimentary Summit registration and will be sent a discount code to register if accepted. You will be able to choose whether you plan to attend virtually or in-person. On demand presenters are not required to attend the Summit in-person and can attend virtually, if preferred.

Does the ANA cover travel and hotel expenses of accepted on-demand session presenters?

No. On-demand presenters are responsible for all travel/lodging expenses associated with attending the in-person Summit. On demand presenters are not required to attend the Summit in-person and can attend virtually, if preferred.
