How long will it take to complete the program?
It’s estimated to take 48 hours to complete required learning materials. You will have 4 months to complete all 5 modules.
Are there time restrictions for registration or course completion?
The program offers open enrollment and can be started at any time. Once you register, you will have 4 months to complete the Nutritional Genomics Training program. At the end of 4 months, you will not have access to the program materials.
I’m unable to fund the program all at once. Are there any payment plan options?
Unfortunately, this option is not available. Once you begin the course, you’ll have access to all materials. Because we don’t have the ability to issue partial access to the course, there are no options other than to pay for the course in full.
What background is recommended for this program?
The Nutritional Genomics Training program is intended for individuals who have a strong background in nutrition assessment, nutrition therapy, and biochemistry. It’s designed for nutritionists and other licensed health care professionals who have nutrition in their legal scope of practice.
Can I earn continuing education credits for this program?
The American Nutrition Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American Nutrition Association designates this enduring material for a maximum of 48 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists designates this activity for a maximum of 48 Continuing Education credits for Certified Nutrition Specialists.
The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) designate this activity for a maximum of 47.8 continuing professional education units (CPEUs) for Registered dietitians (RDs) and Registered Dietetic Technicians (DTRs).
Do I automatically receive a certification once I complete the Nutritional Genomics program?
No. You will receive a certificate of completion for the training program, but this is not the same as a certification. Upon successful completion of the Nutritional Genomics Training program, you will be eligible to apply for a certification through the Board for Certification of Nutrition Specialists (BCNS℠), which is separate from the American Nutrition Association (ANA). More details will be provided soon.

Do you permit refunds or transfers to another course or individual?
No, there are no refunds issued, and we're unable to transfer funds or credits to another course or individual.
How do I register for ANA training programs (NEW as of 1/11/23)?
You will NO LONGER purchase ANA training programs in the Portal. All training programs can be purchased directly from the link without having to login.
Purchase the Nutritional Genomics Training Program and Certification
Once I have paid for a training program, how do I access the course materials?
After receiving your purchase confirmation email, you will receive a welcome email within 1-2 business days. This welcome email will provide you with the access information for the training program which is housed in our Learning Management System. You will NOT access any of the training program materials from within the ANA Portal or Kartra.
I didn’t receive a welcome email after I purchased an ANA training program. Can you help me?
1. Please make sure your purchase went through by confirming you received a purchase confirmation email (make sure to check your spam/junk folder)! If you did not receive a purchase confirmation email but see a charge on your credit card, please contact us training@theANA.org.
2. You will receive your welcome email within 1-2 business days of registering for an ANA training program. Please be sure to check your email spam folder for an email from training@theANA.org. If you’re unable to locate it, please email us training@theANA.org and a new welcome email will be sent to you.
